For Taboola & Sage as DJ at the Hamburg Exhibition Centre
The OMR Festival in Hamburg is one of the most exciting events of the year for me. As a trade fair DJ, I have been able to accompany the stand parties of my client Taboola for several years now and create a really good atmosphere among the trade fair guests. What was new this year was that, in addition to my gig for Taboola on the first day of the festival, I was also booked for a morning kick-off party for my client Sage on the second day of the trade fair.
OMR Festival: A highlight of the digital economy
The OMR Festival The Hamburg Messe is no longer just an ordinary event – it is the largest gathering of executives and decision-makers from the digital economy, media, and marketing in Germany. With over 67,000 visitors, more than 1,000 exhibitors and partners, and over 800 speakers, the trade fair is a must-attend for anyone who wants to have a say in the digital world.
High-calibre speakers appear on the five stages each time, including big names such as Ryan Reynolds, Dirk Nowitzki and experts from companies such as Netflix, Paypal and ChatGPT. The two days focussed primarily on the topics of artificial intelligence, marketing, politics and sport. But in addition to all the specialist presentations and discussions, the OMR Festival also has a lot to offer when it comes to combining networking with a good dose of partying.

The mega event in Hamburg not only attracts experts, but also a colourful mix of marketing professionals, creative minds and tech enthusiasts. The atmosphere is always relaxed and laid-back before the dance floors of the stand parties are stormed. I've already had the honour of DJing for Taboola at the OMR Festival several times and always enjoy being on stage for the ad tech giant. Taboola is a leading provider of content discovery technology and helps companies to grow through performance advertising technologies.
From chilled vibes to going off
The OMR is known for having both relaxed networking situations and sometimes escalating party moments. This year, it was all there again: at the beginning, the guests were still in a rather chatty mood, but as soon as I picked up the beats a little, the stand party quickly filled up with party people and an exuberant atmosphere.

The Morning Kick-Off Party for Sage at the OMR in Hamburg
What was exciting this year was my booking for the Morning Kick-Off Party at the stand of Sage – a provider of AI business software for small and medium-sized enterprises. Sage announced the party as follows:
„Dear OMR participants [...] We cordially invite you [...] to our exclusive wake-up party to start the day full of energy, joy and inspiration. Join us for: Energetic beats from our fantastic DJ, who will get you going with the best tracks 🎧Refreshing ginger shots and delicious little refreshments to revitalise your senses and give you the necessary kick for the day 🍹 Let's rock the morning together, make new contacts and start the day full of power. This wake-up party will be the perfect prelude to a successful 2nd part of #OMR25!“
The party was a real early morning success
After a short night, the party started at 8.30 a.m. - a time that I rarely have on my schedule as a DJ. I wasn't quite sure beforehand how well such an early party would go down, but my concerns were quickly dispelled. Numerous trade fair guests stopped to film the action or gave me the thumbs up. It was great to see how the guests at the stand were in a great mood even at such an early hour. Another example of how anything is possible at OMR if you think a little „out of the box“ and there are always new, exciting ideas.
DJ equipment and my trip to the Hamburg trade fair
As the technical effort for my gigs was relatively manageable, I travelled by train this year. Travelling by train from Düsseldorf to Hamburg allowed me to arrive at my first gig relaxed and well prepared.

DJ OMR Hamburg – an event that consistently delights (me)
Being a DJ at the OMR trade fair in Hamburg 2025 was once again an unforgettable experience. From great talks and relaxed networking to the exuberant party - the festival always offers new highlights and unique moments. I'm already looking forward to next year and to DJing for Taboola and other exciting clients again. You can be sure that there's never a dull moment at OMR - and as a DJ, I'm honoured to be part of this mega-event.
