DJ and saxophone, band or percussion for your special event highlight.
DJ plus Musician: More Beats, More Goosebumps
Thrilling live sets with DJ plus saxophone or DJ plus live musician
Would you like to top the musical experience at your event? Do you want a musical highlight for your event that will thrill you live?
Of course, live music is the icing on the cake of my DJ performance. Or the icing on the cake of the live musician's or live band's performance. Be it as a combination of DJ plus saxophone, DJ plus percussion or DJ plus live band, DJ and live performance complement each other perfectly!
A live musician is a great way to keep your guests' attention. While as a DJ I am usually on duty all the time, the live artist is usually only on stage occasionally for a certain number of songs. For example, at the start of an event, as a link between parts of the event or at the end as a highlight with a transition to the party. The DJ and live artist pass the musical ball to each other and together they become a rousing act.
Then you can go directly to the individual DJ-Plus booking options here:
DJ plus live: Whether with band, saxophone, percussion, violin or, or, or
With background knowledge of your event – the occasion and intention – and if you let me know what you have in mind, I'll be happy to make concrete suggestions for DJ plus combinations in the first step.
I also take care of booking fellow musicians afterwards or handle communication with the live acts, if desired. It also needs to be clarified how the performance should be designed: Will there be a stage, or should the live musician perform as a walking act while the DJ stays at the turntables? Is there a musical theme that should be implemented?
As we move forward, I will liaise with the booked live musicians in advance regarding our set lists and the necessary equipment. Whether it's a DJ plus saxophone, DJ plus percussion, DJ plus violin, or DJ plus live band: you and your guests can expect a musical highlight!
DJ and Saxophone – the benefits for your company party
A combination set of DJ and saxophone is a guaranteed party starter at any B2B event.
While a saxophonist alone creates a good atmosphere, DJ plus saxophone together create an energetic party atmosphere that makes the party guests flock straight to the dance floor - and stay there.
How does the interplay of DJ plus saxophone work?
Both parts - DJ plus saxophone - are equally important for the success of the party. As an event DJ, you ensure that the basic mood is set with well-known songs in the background. The saxophonist, on the other hand, is right in the middle: he/she goes straight into the crowd and is therefore a real icebreaker on the dance floor. I always mix the saxophone and background tracks in terms of volume so that the joint sound reaches a perfect level.
Every crowd is different. As a DJ, I therefore constantly observe which songs are well received on the day and which are less so. If the guests' attention wanes during a song, I switch to a new song more quickly. Professional saxophonists can react flexibly to this change of direction so that the DJ and saxophone together can keep the mood at an absolute high. This quick reaction is only possible when live musicians play together - pre-recorded playlists or recorded sets fail here.
Which events are suitable for the combination of DJ and saxophone?
A DJ set with a saxophone creates a real live show atmosphere! This combination is therefore a fabulous fit for Summer festivals, Christmas party services, Company anniversaries and Company parties. But this combination also works just as well at events where the participants don't know each other, such as a congress or a conference - because the energy of the saxophonist unites the party people on the dance floor straight away.
The DJ and saxophone team is also ideal for welcoming guests before the actual event starts. Here, groovy, jazzy sounds are required in the background, which immediately convey a high-quality atmosphere. Only networking events, where only background music is usually desired, are less suited to a DJ plus saxophone.
How long does a live set by a DJ with saxophone last?
DJ and saxophonist(s) typically play 2-3 sets of approximately 15-20 minutes each. Three sets would equate to around 45-60 minutes and twelve songs.
The saxophone players usually give me a pool of 40 songs to play from. On the day of the performance, I then spontaneously select those songs from this predefined list that best suit the audience and the mood.
I would be very happy to recommend good saxophonists, and they can also be booked directly through me. Should you have already booked someone yourself, I would of course be happy to liaise with the musician for a perfectly run gig.
DJ Markus Rosenbaum and saxophonist Ben Flora
At B2B events, I enjoy working as an event DJ with saxophonist Ben Flora.
Ben is a trained jazz saxophonist. His great strength unfolds in collaboration with a DJ: the ability to respond to musical moods live, pick up on them and develop them further with a keen instinct. The result is a special energy - spontaneous, dynamic and captivating - that creates a lively and unique atmosphere at every event.
Ben has been accompanying high-quality corporate events for many years - from elegant gala evenings, exclusive receptions or company parties to modern brand presentations. His playing is characterised by precision, expressiveness and creative professionalism.
This makes us musical partners for events that value quality, authenticity and emotional vibrancy.
The combination of a DJ with live musicians offers an exceptional way to enhance the musical backdrop of your event, with the DJ and live musicians performing together. This unique pairing creates a dynamic atmosphere where beats and live instruments merge.
The musicians - be it saxophonists, percussionists or singers - play in perfect harmony with my DJ beats, creating a lively and energetic sound that immediately captivates guests. This form of joint live performance makes for an unforgettable event where the music sets become a highlight.
DJ with live musicians for various moods
As a DJ, I can play with individual live musicians, but also with a small band. For example, I've often played together with musician Amin Afify, who many people may recognise from "The Voice of Germany" or the "Let's Dance" tour. Amin is an excellent singer, guitarist and pianist and together we have a lot of opportunities to perform different styles of music.
As a result, we can create the right atmosphere for any event and can also switch from background music to a party atmosphere within an event. Amin also has the option of bringing in other live musicians such as a violinist, cellist or percussionist. This turns us into a DJ plus live band and entertains at a high level at events.
From chilled to energetic: DJ and live musicians
The DJ and live musician team can be seamlessly integrated into various event formats. At company parties or gala evenings, for example, the musicians can complement the DJ sounds with chilled-out live elements.
This creates an elegant, high-quality atmosphere, especially at dinner or during the arrival of guests. Later - when the evening takes place on the dance floor - they amplify the energetic DJ beats with their live playing, creating real, thrilling highlights at the party.
This combination is more than just musical sound reinforcement - DJ and live musicians stand for captivating performances that pick up and activate guests on an emotional level. The combination of DJ and live musicians is particularly suitable for exclusive events where a unique and personalised experience is required that guests will remember for a long time.
